Made in Kendal
No, not the famous Kendal Mint Cake!
Last year Metroplan decided to break the trend of outsourcing production and to bring the assembly of core items home to it’s base in Kendal. Product ranges that are now in full production at our Kendal site include:
- Shield Range of Noticeboards, Covered Noticeboards & Whiteboards
- Resist-a-Flame Range of Noticeboards & Covered Noticeboards
- Standard Tamperproof Noticeboards
- Busyfold Heavy Duty Display System
In the past months we have successfully been manufacturing the above Metroplan product ranges at our Kendal base and in doing so we have reached our main objectives:
- To guarantee product quality and work towards continuous improvement
- To ensure flexibility & faster turnaround of volume orders
- To stay competitive in the marketplace through total product control
Another key factor in our decision to make this change was to contribute to our local community through creating work opportunities in a small town, where production industries such as shoe manufacturing has recently decreased or completely ceased.
Perhaps soon Kendal will be as famous for Metroplan products as it is for its Mint Cake!
