Resist-a-Flame - Do your noticeboards comply with Fire Regs?
Noticeboards are naturally sited in corridors and places where the greatest number of people will see the information on display.
Did you know...that contained within the ‘Official Buildings Regulations’ with which all public buildings must comply, specific reference is made to the Fire Retardancy of materials used to line walls in areas of sensitivity or risk? These areas include corridors, stairways, entrances and exits.
The logical reason behind this type of regulation is to allow occupants of a building adequate time to exit safely in the event of a Fire and to do so without the materials involved accelerating that Fire. Noticeboards and where they are generally sited, present a particular risk – yet most have no fire retardant properties at all.
To combat this problem Metroplan Limited has developed the market leading Resist-a-Flame range of fire retardant noticeboards and display showcases.
Resist-a-Flame products are independently tested to the relevant 2002 European ‘Reaction to Fire’ tests and has certified compliance to the highest relevant levels of fire retardancy in accordance to BS-EN 13501-1. This classification identifies that these products can be used in the same areas as products tested to BS476 Parts 6 and 7 and classified as class 0 according to UK building Regulations.
We have a noticeboard to suit all your requirements – the Resist-a-Flame range includes:
