The Kendal based manufacturing test bed, proves and fine tunes the design of any new product before it enters full production. Once the product design is finalised, we protect our investment by registering all relevant designs, trade marks and patents before rolling out. With a world wide network of manufacturing partners, the design is offered to the partner with the optimum in house experience, plant, resource, and capacity.

Full on site pre-production advice, quality assurance and ongoing development is always carried out by Metroplan employees and not by third party agents. This important hands on approach sets Metroplan apart from its rivals. With 4 key product divisions, 15 product families, 3500 product lines and over 13,000 SKU’s; huge investment and resource is placed on logistics and service. We aim to have over 70% of the product lines available from stock. This stock is held at 3 distribution sites totalling over 160,000 square feet, providing truly national coverage. Only 60% of the product range is ‘carriable’ the remainder needing special handling and delivery, which we undertake personally with a fleet of 12 purpose built vehicles; each manned by a trained and CRB checked driver.
